It started as a metal-casting operation as an offshoot of the need to make numberplates and signage of my model railroad empire... As seen on the front page, the corporate logo is a sword stuck down through a circular logo. My original plan had been to have the logo laser-cut out of wood by a local craftsman, and to have an actual sword made. But with 3 kids literally bouncing off the walls, having a sharp sword hanging on that wall just didn't seem to be a very intelligent idea.
At that time, Grant Thompson was just rising to his pinnacle as "The King of Random" on YouTube. His choice of black and yellow for some of his projects influenced the idea of doing a similar scheme but in my favorites of black & green, and the color-scheme of JDG Industries was born.
Today JDG Industries' doesn't limit itself to any specific type of project, but any skill or capability I am interested in.
